Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water and in the word.

Holy Baptism is the beginning and the basis of our Christian life. Through Baptism, whether
as an infant or an adult, we are freed from sin and reborn as sons/daughters of God. Baptism is the first sacrament of initiation into the church. Since the Second Vatican Council the Church has two rituals for Baptism Initiation:
1. Baptism for children under the age of 7.
2. Adult Baptism (anyone who is at least 7 years of age).
